Birthday Getaway Loading… and My Chocolate Drop Has a Secret

There’s something magical about not knowing where you’re going—but fully trusting the one taking you there.

This year, my birthday came with three simple instructions:

Pack a bag, bring your smile, and don’t ask questions.

Y’all already know that sounded like music to my soul (and just a little nerve-wracking because I am a planner by nature). But when your man—aka my Chocolate Drop—says, “I got it all planned,” you let him lead and sit pretty.

So here we are.

🎒 Bags packed.

🚗 On the road.

🎉 Heart full.

He won’t tell me where we’re going. He just keeps smiling and turning up the music like we’re headed to paradise. Could be the beach, could be a cabin, could be a rooftop dinner under the stars. I don’t know. But I do know this:

He thought about me. He planned for me.

And in a world where love often feels rushed or routine, that intentionality? Whew. It’s everything.

Whether it’s a quick road trip or a dream destination, this birthday isn’t about luxury—it’s about love. About being seen. And about feeling cherished.
